I.         Primary Purpose

We are looking for a driven analyst to collect, validate, and analyze data for purposes of generating and distributing executive and operations reports within our call center.  The Business Data Analyst will be responsible for analyzing, reporting, and developing recommendations on data as well as use multiple sources of data, analyze trends, reconcile data, and identify areas for improvement.

II.         Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and analyze functional and operational data, performance reports, and provide notations of performance deviations and anomalies. 
  • Interpret results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to data mining. 
  • Create and publish periodic reports, as well as any necessary ad hoc reports. 
  • (May) require taking operational issue and devising best way to develop appropriate diagnostic and/or tracking data that will translate business requirements into usable decision support tools. 
  • (May) make recommendations based upon data analysis. 
  • (May) design, develop, implement, and maintain business solutions. Validates data to ensure accuracy, quality, and integrity. 

III.        Dimensions

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

IV.        Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelors degree (business degree preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis and reporting. 
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel features and techniques.
  • Familiarity and understanding of Sharepoint features and techniques.
  • Ability to collect, analyze and present key data findings.
  • Strong skills in analytical/problem solving, communication, presentations, organization, initiative, working independently as well as in teams, and managing and completing multiple tasks with tight deadlines.
